Networking To Achieve Any Goal
July 3rd, 2007 by Cristina Favreau
How many of you use networking mainly to build your contact database and exchange leads and referrals?
On the Business Networking Advice blog, Josh interviewed Srirupa Dasgupta, author of Effortless Networking: Everyday Wisdom to Transform Your Business and Life and she shared this fresh approach to networking:
“You can use [networking] to get information, do market research, find publicity or joint venture opportunities, recruit a “Board of Directors” or a “Mastermind” group for yourself so you can turn to them for expert advice or professional guidance when you need it, and so on.”
Next time you’re networking (online or in person), think of ways to tap into the group to help grow your business and achieve your goals.
If you already do this, how has it helped you reach your goals? What have you been able to accomplish? What’s the typical response from the group? What innovative and create ideas do you have?
