Resource: BlogRush

Jenn Givler has inadvertently referred me to a new service, helping generate more blog traffic and I just had to share it with you.

It’s a widget called BlogRush (this is a referral link — as opposed to an affiliate link; I don’t actually get paid for referring you, since it’s a free service).

Basically, when you register for BlogRush and add the code to your blog, a small box is added to your blog’s sidebar (check out mine at the bottom-right), linking back to other blogs for your readers to discover. When your readers click on a link in the widget, it opens the new blog in a separate window (without navigating away from your blog). So, yes, you are directing your blog readers to other blogs (then again, so does a Blogroll), but that’s OK, because new readers will visit your blog the same way.

I’d like to hear from those who have been using BlogRush, good or bad. I just installed it today, so I’ll report on the success of this little tool once I’ve seen it in action.

  • Cristina, I read about BlogRush yesterday (elsewhere, actually) and did the registration and widget thing. But then I encountered error messages at the end of the process. This morning I read the post at BlogRush explaining some problems they have encountered during their rollout this week.

We'll have to keep our eyes on what happens next, I guess, since it's not working at the moment.
  • I see you got the blue one ;)
  • I've received 2-3 new hits on each of my 4 blogs running the blogrush widget. How's it going for you?
