Anti-Procrastination Month: Day 17
October 17th, 2007 by Cristina Favreau
Alright, so I missed yesterday’s Anti-Procrastination Month post because I was physically NOT in my office. I usually post the night before and schedule it to go out the next morning, but I was up until 2:00am (Tuesday) putting the finishing touches on Friday’s presentation script.
I could always beg for your forgiveness for not writing a Day 16 post, but I won’t insult your intelligence nor waste your time.
In line with yesterday’s events, today’s Anti-Procrastination Month tip is: Be flexible.
If you find things aren’t going exactly as planned and projects still fall by the wayside, don’t sweat it. The important thing to remember is you ARE breaking the procrastination cycle and you HAVE made incredible progress so far.
In my case, I gave myself permission not to post yesterday, freeing up my time to prepare for an important meeting (which yielded positive results).
While I’m wildly disappointed for not posting an Anti-Procrastination Month tip yesterday, being flexible (and reasonable) with my original plan allowed me to let it go for one day in order to dedicate my full attention to something of greater (monetary) value.
How does applying sound judgment in your business help you stay on track? What still needs work?
