Let’s face it — as an entrepreneur, you don’t get enough recognition for your accomplishments, especially not the small ones.

As I gear down Anti-Procrastination Month, I thought it important to talk about Rewarding Yourself. If you’ve been following along with me, you’ve made lots of progress too! Congratulations!

It’s time to look back on your month, and identify the reward-worthy, positive activities you’ve done to get yourself out of procrastination. Have you noticed a tangible impact on your business? Be honest. Now choose a reward carefully and enjoy it.

Get in the habit of reviewing your week to find anything worth rewarding. Reward yourself (proportionate to the achievement). This will motivate you to continue breaking out of the procrastination pattern — you’ll replace the pain of doing something you don’t really feel like doing with the joy of getting a payoff for your hard work!

Go ahead! You deserve it!

I started this month with plans of a nice big reward for myself if I accomplished all my goals. But early on I realized that keeping an orderly mind (and house and workspace) is really its own reward. My stress level has significantly lowered and I now have a daily feeling of accomplishment that I never had before. I am still looking forward to my “big” reward, but I am happy to see that I didn’t have to wait until the end of the month to be rewarded for my efforts!
