Anti-Procrastination Month: Day 8
October 8th, 2007 by Cristina Favreau
Today’s Anti-Procrastination Month tip is all about using procrastination to your advantage: Constructive Procrastination
If your to-do list is a combination of small and big projects to be completed soon, try mixing them up.
If you start working on a larger task, then leave it to work on some of the smaller ones, your brain will continue processing the first job. When you go back to it, you’ll be able to take it on with more vigor and perception.

I love your quick snippets of advice – they’re right on. I’d add to this one – if you have a list of must-do tasks that include some you really enjoy and some that you just don’t want to tackle – mix those up, too. Reward yourself for completing an undesireable by diving into a great project you can’t wait to do.
I just subscribed to your blog – keep goin’!

Maryan, welcome and thank you for joining our conversation.
I’m glad you’re finding this month’s tips helpful. They are helping me too!!
I’m glad you added to today’s tip, especially the part about rewarding yourself. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to feel like no one notices our efforts and accomplishments. We rarely get the commendation for our hard work, unless it’s something highly visible. Your suggestion reminds us the importance of telling ourselves “Great job!”
