YES Montreal (Youth Employment Services) launches their 5-week Starting Your Own Business Seminar Series on Tuesday, November 6th.
These seminars, developed as a full series and designed to compliment each other, are suitable for both novice entrepreneurs and those wishing to strengthen their business knowledge. These seminars will teach you the basic theory behind each of the business elements described below. The series is repeated six times per year and the workshops are given by professionals and specialists in the field. Participants who successfully attend the entire series will be presented with an official YES SYOB Certificate of Completion.
- The Nuts & Bolts Of Starting Your Own Business: Take this opportunity to start off on the right foot! This seminar provides an overview of what you need to know as a budding entrepreneur and guidance on how to evaluate your business ideas. It addresses topics such as legal structures, contracts, permits, business numbers and leasing.
- Conducting Effective Market Research: This seminar will introduce you to the fundamentals of market research and explain why it is the crucial first step in starting your business.
