Getting Things Done
October 12th, 2007 by Cristina Favreau
First Eve. Then Chris. And now Pat.
That makes 3 recommendations to get David Allen’s book Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity. So instead of waiting to buy it at the end of the month (talk about procrastination), I ordered it online yesterday. I should get it in a couple of days…
I’d like to create an accountability program around this book. I’m thinking something like weekly calls and daily emails… If you’d be interested in joining me, let me know what would work best. I’m still in the planning phase (my favorite part) so I’m open to suggestions.

Congrats Criss and welcome to the club! What I appreciate most about GTD (yes, there’s an acronym for it!) is its bottom-up approach. Rather than spending a lot of time on your overall plan, you can start acting right away and feel lighter as your to-do list shrinks. My own “Inbox 0″ October plan is in fact based on GTD and, if you really want accountability, I challenge you to post a screenshot of your empty Inbox every day… to keep you honest
Unfortunately, my organization challenges reach far beyond my Inbox…
I was afraid you were going to say “I challenge you to post a picture of your office every day…”
That’s a clue of what I have to concentrate on first!! I’ll post my first picture on Monday!!! (I can’t believe I’m doing this)
OK, I’m in. First, thanks for the link love–first ever inbound link to my blog from a non self generated source. More to come, as I actually prepare to go live.
Now, as far as accountability. I want in…any way that can work.
I’m going to be doing a 5-6 part series on this thing shortly, to demonstrate what I’ve done with this SO FAR…
So I’ll post it up at my site, and we can go from there….
