[I was so busy today, I didn't have a chance to write an Anti-Procrastination Month post. It's 11:41pm and I'm, only now, posting my accountability picture of the day.]

My office, October 16, 2007Compared to yesterday, not much has been done to organize my work space. To be fair, I was in my office for maybe a total of 45 minutes today — most of which was spend preparing for a meeting in the Old Port of Montreal. The preparation created more clutter, but I took a few minutes to organize the disorder (honestly — it was for the picture!).

I managed to snap this photo, while there was still natural night, before picking up the kids at daycare.

Maybe I didn’t make much headway in organizing my office, but I did do something that will make a difference in the long run. Maybe you can’t see it in the picture, but I finally got my book Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity (the urge to postpone picking it up was so great, but I forced myself to go). I don’t know whether to be excited or nervous about sinking my teeth into this book! I guess we’ll see.

As the week goes on (I realize it’ll take me longer than a week to organize my office the way I’d like), I’ll continue making improvements. Now that I have David’s book in my hands, I’m sure I’ll make even greater strides.

Did you notice my office assistants? Fresca (my 7-year-old green-eyed tabby) is in the window and Cleo (my black beauty) is sitting on my desk. They are great company, but aren’t much help when it comes to bringing order to my work space.

Please continue sharing your own productivity projects.

I’m a book junkie — I ordered 3 books::

I have no clue when I’ll read them. I’m reading about 4 books now, BUT I will put my other books aside to get through David’s GTD.
