You know me, I don’t like writing solely about myself (my life isn’t all that exciting), but I’ll make an exception today. (A great way to start — one sentence, 5 self-references!)

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet lately, which can (mostly) be blamed on the forthcoming delivery of our 3rd child. My due date is July 12, but I’m thinking this baby’s coming sooner — but then again, I said that the last time and I gave birth a day after my due date!!

Here are some of the challenges I’m up against:

  • Pregnancy brain: A definite factor in my not producing decent blog posts (not for lack of trying… you should see all the unfinished drafts I’ve saved).
  • Cramming: Trying to get in as much writing as I can before baby #3 is born (see point above) in order to finish the second edition of Designing a Compelling 30-second Intro, scheduled for release August 26. This whole process makes me nervous.
  • Sick PC: My computer is in for repair, so I’ve been working on my hubby’s PC which is uncomfortable (no ergo keyboard/mouse, no comfy chair) and I have difficult (or no) access to my files.
  • Fatigue: It goes without saying – the closer I get to my due date and the bigger my belly gets, the more uncomfortable and tired I get. I’m used to working until about 2am. But lately, once my 2 little ones are in bed, I’m ready to crash, drastically cutting my reading, writing and planning time.

I’m not complaining, though.

  1. My summer interns (whom I am eternally grateful for) have taken on several tasks and are keeping me on track.
  2. I’m super excited to find out if we’re having a boy or girl (I think it’s a boy).
  3. Heck, it’s summer! I’m taking advantage of the great weather with my family.
  4. Finally, I’m working a few projects that you will benefit from in the (hopefully) very near future.

I’ve writen and scheduled The Savvy Snippet entries until September, so at least you’ll get your weekly dose of entrepreneurial motivation until I get back into the swing of things.

As I have done in the past, you’ll be one of the first to know when “the moment” has arrived.

I’m not trying to make excuses for not posting often, I just want you to know what’s going on.

Thanks for all your kind words and well wishes! You inspire me to keep on keeping on!!

    Best Wishes, Cristina!

Are you still planning a home birth? I just read the story about your unplanned home delivery of Katya. How amazing! I can’t wait to hear the good news and whether you have a boy or a girl.

    Thanks Tinamarie and Leslie!!

We are ready for a home birth, but I’d still like to experience birthing in water, so if there’s time, we will attempt to go to the birthing center. If not, it’ll be a PLANNED home birth!!

    Congratulations!

And I really hope all goes well and is as “easy” as can be!

    Best Wishes :-)
